The South East Texas Regional Planning Commission (SETRPC) Executive Committee voted unanimously at its November 14, 2018 meeting to appoint Ms. Shanna Burke as the new SETRPC Executive Director, effective immediately.
The Texas General Land Office and AECOM – the vendor charged with executing the state’s Post-Hurricane Harvey long-term Homeowner Assistance Program (HAP) across Southeast Texas – will be hosting a series of program design meetings in November. The purpose of the meetings will be to inform and hear from community leaders working in areas affected by the disaster.
The Transportation and Environmental Services Division is announcing a public comment period to be held from October 15, 2018 – November 14, 2018 so that the public can comment on the “Proposed” JOHRTS FY 2019-2022 TIP and the “Proposed” SETRPC FY 2040 MTP Amendment #10. A series of public meetings will be held October 29, 2018 – November 1, 2018 for the public to learn and comment on these documents. In the fall of this year the Transportation and Environmental Resources Division will be adopting the Southeast Texas Hike and Bike Plan 2037. This plan is meant to serve as a “road map” for local governments adopting hike and bike ordinances and/or hike and bike facilities in the future. It will also be of assistance to local governments when applying for hike and bike related grants.
